The Wanderlust Tag

Having lacked inspiration for the last couple of days, I was stoked when I stumbled upon this awesome tag on Charline Has a Blog. I would love to see more people do this tag so make sure to leave me a comment with your links!

Q: Where was your first plane to?
A: If we're playing by the rules, I vaguely remember travelling to Spain when I about 6 years old but if we're being technical, I flew to Malta when I was merely a foetus.

Q: Where have you travelled to that you would love to visit again?
A: I went to Florida when I was younger and did the whole tourist thaang. I think it'd be cool to go back as an adult, mainly so I can get on the adult rides and drink beer but also to explore the state properly.

Q: You're leaving tomorrow, money is no object, where are you going?
A: This is a toughy. When I first read the question I immediately thought Asia - I'm thinking Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand.. the list goes on, BUT then I thought about New Zealand and how I could visit Hobbiton and practice snowboarding. I'm going to all of those places, it's my money and in this scenario I have loads so there. I win.

Q: Preferred method of travel: planes, trains or car?
A: I guess it depends on the destination because I really wouldn't like to drive to Australia (laughs to self) but joking aside, I don't really care, as long as I get there safely then I'm happy.

Q: Top three travel items?
A: 1 - GoPro Hero - ingenious waterproof/snow proof camera for taking pictures literally anywhere.
2 - Journal - because I like to write about my adventures.
3 -  SPF - keeps your skin happy.

I know this is cheating and it's not an essential but I like to pick up a travel guide if I'm going to one particular place - you can often get them at the airport! It's a neat way to find out about non-touristy sights, restaurants and activities etc.

Q: Favourite travel website?
A: Traveling Triplets has to be my favourite travel blog/blog of all time. It's run by the coolest, most gorgeous, adventurous identical sisters who travel around together, capturing the moments for our viewing. Is it weird that I want to be the fourth sister, so so badly?

Q: Where would you travel to just to eat the food?
A: I know everyone will say this but it has to be Italy. I mean, come on, Gelato and Pasta alldayeveryday.

Q: Is there a place you would never go again?
A: I don't think so. I've been to Turkey countless times so I guess if I had to choose somewhere then it would be there, but purely for that reason alone.

Q: Can you recite your passport number from memory if asked?
A: No, but I think it starts with a 0. Maybe they all do? Who knows.

Q: Do you prefer window, aisle or middle seat?
A: One hundred percent the window seat. I like to look at the clouds and the sea.

Q: How do you pass the time on the airplane?
A: I usually read to pass the time but if the flight is long haul then I tend to sleep in between reading and watching movies.

  1. ^^Nice one! xxxx

  2. Such a cute tag! My first plane was also to Spain. I need some sun so I think I'd fly to the Maldives if I could hehe. I used to know my passport # off by heart...I could give it a go! ;)

  3. oooh I want to participate! How does this Wanderlust tag work? :)

    1. It's simple! You can just copy the questions and answer them on your blog! xx

  4. I love this, traveling is such a great thing to do

  5. Awesome post Abby. I might do this myself! Thanks for the inspiration.

I was laughing but totally agree on your choice for a place you would go just to eat. I think I gained at least 5 lbs. during my one week in Italy!

  6. Driving to Australia would be a pretty eventful drive, wouldn't it? Hehehehe.

  7. You need to go back to Florida! I'm so glad I went as an adult because it was so much fun and I loved every minute of it. I think it means so much more when you're an adult and it brings back all those memories of being a child. BEST HOLIDAY EVER.

  8. I wish I was as adventurous as you, my dream is to travel the world and see lots of different cultures. Florida is definitely a crazy place, (I've been many times) but everyone can enjoy it, especially Disney World!
