The Game Changer

Straight off the bat I need to declare that this stuff has changed my skin. I hadn't really tried anything from the Botanics range in Boots and I picked this up on a bit of a whim because it was half price and I needed a new exfoliant type product. Now I'm not going to sit here and say that I have terrible skin because I don't. I do get the occasional hormonal spot but my main problem has always been scarring/redness on my cheeks from the spots I do occasionally get. My skin can also be quite sensitive.

This is definitely a step up from your standard exfoliator. Obviously it says that it's a Microdermabrasion Polish but when I first used it I just went at my face like I would any other exfoliator. Do not do this. It hurts. A lot. Anyway I finally got round to reading the directions and it does actually say to use it in 'light circular' motions. Duh. The texture is similar to sugar particles but much finer and smoother. It does feel rough and did leave me looking quite red but the point of this product is essentially to scrub off the dead skin cells to reveal nice radiant new skin. I have included a photo for those who want a more educated (better) description!

I honestly noticed a difference the next morning after using it. My skin felt smoother and looked really fresh. The redness also looked like it had calmed down and my pores were noticeably smaller. I've been using it for a month now and I cannot believe the transformation. Like I said before, I don't have terrible skin, but the redness has completely gone, yes completely and I haven't had a single spot. I think the main thing I've noticed is how radiant my skin looks now. I've never been one for heavy foundations but I could quite happily just wear concealer and feel confident in my skin. I just can't praise this enough. It's completely changed the way my skin is and I can't wait to try out the rest of their products. It's currently half price at £3.99 and you can get it here. Do not hesitate buying this stuff, you seriously won't regret it!

  8. Buying this weekend per your recommendation! Perfect timing as I've been on the hunt for a new exfoliant to try - I'm such a St. Ives girl but sometimes it's nice to switch things up, and there's no better time than when there's a sale at Boots :)

  9. I've heard so many good things about this product. I generally love Botanics products - currently testing a few and this will have to join the lot, too. Although I'm steering away from mechanical exfoliation in favour of acidic masks etc. Is this very grainy?

  10. I'm always looking for a new scrub, all the ones I have seem to be stupidly rough and my skin can't handle it, Green People have a really lovely one that I'm trying at the minute but I'll have to give this one a go when that runs out!
