Get to know me | 15 Facts

I'm sure you've all seen these posts going around lately, quite a few of my favourite bloggers have done them which has inspired me to give it a go. They all vary from 10 facts to 50 so I decided to go for 15 as I'm just not that interesting. Some facts might be a little deep but I feel like you guys deserve to know a little more about me, on a more personal level. Hope you like this post and if you've done one make sure you link below so I can have a nose!
1| I am in love with the sea. If it was humanly possible I would definitely choose to live there. I don't know what it is but when I'm in the sea, I feel a massive sense of freedom. I've always lived by the sea and I think I always will. I want to learn to surf too.

2| Now this is going to be the deepest of them all. I lost my dad when I was 17. I really don't know how much I can say on this but he basically fought a very tough battle after an operation he had to remove an Aneurysm from his Aeorta and sadly lost that battle in 2007. He was my best friend and words cannot describe how much I miss him but I try to always be positive. I know that some people have never had a dad/mum so I feel blessed in some ways that I had such an amazing dad for at least 17 years of my life. I have an incredible mum, brother and sister and I'm thankful for that.

3| I suffer with anxiety and I used to suffer with panic attacks. This all started just after my dad died and I've just lived with it ever since. It used to be quite extreme but over the years it's gotten much better. I still have down days - everyone does - but overall I'm a much more positive person. Everyone deals with grief differently and it's quite common to develop something like anxiety because of that, so if you are going through anything like that then it honestly can get better, you just have to let it.

4| On a lighter note - but something that I can't imagine will be very popular... I really really can't stand cats and I don't understand why they have become a fashion accessory. At one point I actually thought they had started selling them in Topshop.

5| I have a Law Degree and as it turns out I don't want to work in anything law related. Ooopsie.

6| I am the worlds biggest tomboy. When I was younger I used to Rollerblade, Skateboard - I even took part in Trials Motorbike Competitions. I'm a little better now but I still don't like anything too girlie. The girliest I get is skirts.

7| Some people might be horrified at this.. but.. I don't own a pair of high heels. Probably linked with the above but I just cant be arsed with trying to walk in something I know I cant.

8| I have a genuine fear of insect eggs. Thinking about them makes me wanna vom.

9| I rarely watch TV. I've never been into soaps or reality tv like X Factor and other awful programmes like that - they just piss me off. The only thing I will watch on TV is David Attenborough (dork I know). I am into lots and lots of series though but there are too many to name!

10| I used to be extremely career driven but as I've got older I've realised that it's the little things in life that are important. I genuinely think I could be happy living in a hut beside the sea or in a campervan - as long as I've got the people I love around me I really don't care. Happiness is way more important to me than success.

11| I really cant stand bitching. I know I'm a girl and we are prone to it, but I just wont accept it in any form. Towards the start of last year I made some decisions to rid my life of people who are just out to hurt people. I might have less friends now because of that decision but I'm a much happier person and I honestly wish I had done something about it sooner.

12| I'm not sure how many of you will know who Paul Weller (The Jam) is but you definitely should if you don't. Anyway, my claim to fame is that my Godfather is his rodey and so I have met him quite a few times. The first was when I was about 8 and he let me sit on his knee and play with his guitar. Helllssyeaaah. He also sent me a signed programme and t-shirt once - it was signed with love - happy days.

13| I love owning books. It might sound weird and I hope at least someone can relate but I love the feeling of getting a new book - I even love the smell of it. I do own a Kindle and I do use it but if I ever read a book on it and I like it.. I'll go out and buy a copy of it anyway just to keep. My dream house would be filled with bookcases. My favourite author is Kurt Vonnegut.

14| I have a ridiculous obsession with Jalapenos. If I had the choice of only ever eating chocolate again or only ever eating Jalapenos.. they'd win hands down.

15| Everyone has a 'would but shouldn't' crush right? Well, mine is... Piers Morgan. PLEASE don't judge me.

  2. I'm really sorry to hear about your dad! I loved reading this haha, and I have to agree about cats becoming some sort of fashion accessory, one of my friends mates said she didn't like cats around a year ago and hated being around my friends cats, now she has to word meow tattoo'd on her and claims to love em!! I also do not own a pair of heels (well I have the vivs but they're being sold), my friend Lewis is always trying to make me buy a pair and wear them out or borrow his mums, cannot walk in them to save my life!

    1. Oh god really!? I think that's what annoys me the most, obviously some people genuinely love cats which is fine but I swear I can't look on any social media sites without being bombarded with pictures of cats in space with triangles on their heads haha I just don't get it! Haha thats good news then, I'm not the only one who is hopeless in heels :) I really do want a nice big chunky pair though, might have to give it a go! xxx
